Shoulder Rehabilitation & Stabilising

West Coast Bitumen performs shoulder rehabilitation to address scouring, material loss, or drop-offs, ensuring edge support and drainage are fully restored. Our process involves reshaping shoulders with our in-house grader before stabilising the existing material. We recompact and reseal these areas to ensure a seamless match with the adjacent road surface. 

Stabilisation is achieved by mixing cement or lime through the profiler, a method we also apply to localised pavement patches to reinforce weak sections in situ. By treating material on-site, we significantly reduce the need for imported fills and cartage, offering a cost-efficient solution specifically for long-distance rural pavements.
