Spray Seal

West Coast Bitumen applies single and multiple-layer sprayed seals at up to 10,000 square metres per day, over rural council roads and highways, subdivisions, airstrips and access driveways. Binder is standard or polymer modified, with aggregate size set against traffic, pavement condition and surface texture.

A spray seal surface lasts approximately 13-15 years. Reseal timing is set by surface condition, aggregate loss, binder oxidation, cracking, reduced texture and not age alone. We work with Local government clients to plan reseal programmes so they run as staged works across multiple sites in a single mobilisation.
West Coast Bitumen holds DIT prequalification for bituminous works, categories S1 and S2.
